Jacqui was appointed to the position of Assistant Director, Speech Pathology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 1993. The Royal Adelaide Hospital is an adult, acute care hospital, the largest in South Australia and the major trauma centre for the state. There she developed skills in the early assessment and management of dysphagia and communication across a number of clinical areas including stroke/neurology, head and neck cancer, traumatic brain injury and general medicine. In 1999, she was appointed to the position of Director, Speech Pathology, at the Royal Adelaide - a position she continues to enjoy.
In her quest for furthering her knowledge and skill in voice rehabilitation, Jacqui undertook training in a number of approaches to voice therapy. However, it was not until 2007, participating in her first Voicecraft® Extensive Six Day Workshop, that she finally encountered an approach which revolutionised her own understanding of the voice and equipped her to work with patients with understanding, skill, direction and conviction - and consistent results! She was invited to join the Voicecraft® practice in 2008, working closely alongside Dr Alison Bagnall, its founder, and continues to mix this role with her ongoing role at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Pamela Thomas-Joseph has aspired to be a Speech Pathologist since a tender age of 16. She served devotedly as a young volunteer with the disabled and was employed by the Sultan Idris Shah Foundation for the Disabled in Malaysia as a speech therapist assistant in the coming years after.
She received her Bachelors of Speech Science (hons) in 2000 from the National University of Malaysia and won numerous Dean's awards and other successful life awards. Pamela is an active member of the Malaysian Association of Speech
Language & Hearing and is presently an executive committee member and now heads the Research Issues Portfolio of the association.
Her work has included setting up maiden speech & language units at a special education school, the first private group speech therapy practice in Malaysia -SpeecHelp Therapy & Resources, as well as the first Malaysian speech clinical facility in a private hospital.
She was first acquainted with Dr Alison Bagnall and the work of Voicecraft® in the year 2000 when they worked together on establishing one of Malaysia's first private speech pathology practices under the initiative of the Institute of Craniofacial Studies of Australia which treated many children and adults with speech and voice challenges. Under Dr Bagnall's close mentorship, she has acquired great skill in treating the voice. She has broadened this body of work in her experience to include treating children, even those with confounding speech, hearing and fluency problems, alongside other evidenced based approaches.
The body of work of Voicecraft® is one she feels passionately about as it has brought healing to many who have struggled with their speech and voice, including her own voice as a young speech pathologist in the year 2000. She has consistently used Voicecraft® methods in treatment with favourable and life giving results to all adults and children.

After a recent period working in roles as a political staffer and speech writer, Jane is now combining her practice at the Voicecraft® Clinic with her position as a Senior Speech Pathologist at Novita Children's Services.
